Born and raised in the far west corner of TX desert, Julian has always had a passion for art and design. In 2006, Julian moved to attend art school where he studied Media Art and Animation and was able to land an opportunity with THQ Rainbow Studios as a Concept Artist. Since then, Julian has gone on to work on various projects as a freelance Concept Artist for studios such as Zynga, Bethesda/Zenimax Online, and ACME Archives as an illustrator creating licensed artwork for Lucasfilm properties Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
Julian is inspired by fun, engaging, dramatic, and well thought out film, animation, games, concept art, and illustrations. As much as Julian loves teaching Art, Julian is inspired by the challenge of bringing story and emotion to a character, place, or object. Working with a group of like minded creatives working towards a goal feeding off of each other's ideas definitely inspires Julian.
You will find that Julian is a determined artist that enjoys new challenges. He takes pride in his work and contributions and appreciates great art and design as well as an enjoyable entertainment experience. Julian aims to be versatile, a problem solver, and strives to be a continuous learner for both new information and skills as well as refreshing old skills. Aside from creativity and technical skills, Julian brings to the table, the ability and experience to work well with various personalities, various technical and knowledge-based skill levels, and managing multiple creative projects simultaneously while keeping deadlines.
